When any remover comes to view your property always ask which of the qualifications above he can tick.
1) Preferably choose a company that can tick all of the boxes above
2) Never ever choose a remover just because they have quoted a low price. Remember the removals industry attracts many 'man and van' amateurs that operate in the black economy with untrained staff and illegal vehicles. That's why some prices are incredibly low.
3) Never take it for granted that a removal company with a large or expensive advertisement is reputable or competent.
4) Never take at face value any promises made by the removal assessor that visits your property. Always ensure that verbal promises are confirmed in writing.
5) Always obtain a written quotation which will be printed with the remover's terms and conditions but beware as some terms and conditions greatly limit your rights. Please note that the GUILD's terms and conditions which we as a company have real value and have been lodged with the Office of Fair Trading
